Using the document page icon
Once you save an Adobe PageMill page, the page icon appears in the upper-left corner of the document window. You can drag and drop this icon onto a selected element to create a link to the page. This can be very useful if you have many pages open, and want to establish links between them.
Selecting a text link
You can select linked text by triple-clicking it.
Copying an existing link
You can drag any linked text or graphic to another page (or to another place on the same page) to copy the link to the new position. You don't need to respecify the link, and you can even modify the copy without breaking the link. In this step you'll copy the link you placed onto the Pasteboard earlier.
Typing the URL
You can establish a link by selecting text or a graphics, and then typing the URL in the "Link Bar" at the bottom of the window. after you enter the URL, press the "Enter" key on the keyboard to establish the link.
Assisted URL entry (HOT!)
PageMill can help you type URLs faster when you're entering URLs in the URL "link bar" at the bottom of the window. If you type the first letter of a protocol and then hit either the right arrow or the tab key, PageMill will fill in the rest of the protocol. Type the domain name, hit the tab key again, and PageMill can fill in the site type (e.g. .com, .edu, .net). Try it out!
Dragging links from Netscape Navigator (R)
With both PageMill and Navigator opened, select text or a graphic in PageMill for which you want to establish a link. Then put your pointer over linked text or graphic in Navigator, and click and drag that link over your selected text or graphic in PageMill, release the mouse button, and your link will be established. You can similarly drag links from Navigator into PageMill's 'Link Bar." Once the link is placed there, hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard, and the link will be established. You can also open your Netscape Bookmarks folder, and drag-and-drop URL's from there.
