The Internet Edition of Being and The Elements of Being
Maintain Being and The Elements of Being as a document in raw form for update and editing.
Minimize cross references, footnotes, special formatting - anything that requires special attention when converting to HTML.
The Internet Edition will display not only the final product but also intermediate structures that are part of the update and edit system and the design. The Internet Edition is in and will remain in-process approximately according to the Planning Schedule in The Functions.
There will be at least two versions: one with frames and a collapsible Table of Contents and another straight HTML or plain text version.
Making Internet versions - many variations are possible... One is to copy the expanded master document to a new open document and save as HTML; another is to copy the unexpanded master document to a new open document and save as HTML... and then save all sub-documents as HTML and edit the links from the master document, replacing doc by html [continuity of heading numbers can be maintained in a number of ways.]

Gray links - are active but not currently fulfilled... i.e. the page has not yet been uploaded to this site. These are links to local files, i.e. to files on my computer. A part of the work for future editions is to consolidate these files, upload essential elements and update links. There is an uploaded archive of the files but they are purposely not linked from Being and The Elements of Being; they are available as a download to select coworkers on the project for Being and The Elements of Being and when placed in the appropriate directory structure would be linked from the present edition. Meanwhile, the gray links do not point to actual file locations.
The First Internet Edition of Being and The Elements of Being
Concept… of and for Being and The Elements of Being... nature, fundamental questions and hypotheses; and the issue of update, evolution - adaptation to exploration, transformation and construction… including decomposition as Functions [agent] x Topics [object].
Topics... provide links; preliminary outline version of Narrative; streamline and synchronize material in topics/functions with minimal but not zero duplication.
Functions... provide links; preliminary version of Design / Exploration; add overall plan of phases; add minimal detailed plan for Being and The Elements of Being with dates; maintain all sources/links but mark links as main/primary and detail/secondary.
Being and The Elements of Being... is both exploration and narrative; this in-process concept is realized a product of sets [Functions] x [Topics]; that evolves with exploration; maintenance of the narrative is automated :auto-update and auto-edit… the automation enhances the evolution in a number of ways; the functions include design and planning and an automation of project planning; some detailed planning is shown. For the First Internet Edition, Being and The Elements of Being is realized as the concept, topics and functions - as described above. This First Edition is preliminary and updateable… and design, as part of Being and The Elements of Being, will sequence beyond this first edition.
