PREPARATION AND TRAVEL

Final Planning and Preparation. September 13th through 15th

Places. Trinity Alps. September 16th to Wednesday October 20th

I start with the Trinity Alps. It is close to home and so I have more time in the mountains for health,
open air, inspiration of the year and can return home for a brief period to write up an inspired idea.
Because the place is constant, the situation is better for exploration in mind and being. Home is
where exploration begins

Alternates: Marble Mountains, Russian Wilderness, Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, Kings Canyon and
the
San Juan Mountains

Travel and Permit. Leave September 16th

THE JOURNEY
Two or Three Entries. Dates are approximate

First entry: Week 1, 2: September 16th - September 29th. Trinity Alps: Hobo - Papoose Lake

Objectives: Emphasize #1 Nature...first action, then perception

Day and side hikes: Hobo - Papoose: Backbone Ridge, Bear Wallow Meadows, and
Grizzly Lake. Martin Gulch, Bob’s Farm, Middle Fork - Wedding Cake Peak. Bear Valley
Meadows and Ridge

At the lake: Lake rim, side canyons, chutes, Papoose Cirque, Mt Hilton and Boulder,
Alpine and
Smith Lakes

Second entry: Week 3, 4: September 30th - October 13th. Alternate location, route

Objectives: Continue #1, but emphasize #2 Being. Focus on my presence and the elements
...then my life

Third entry: Final Week 5: October 14th - October 20th. Open - possibly road travel

Objectives: Focus on #2, especially my life, placement, the next 25 years. The coming year is pivotal

RETURN AND REINTEGRATION
Review this toward end of journey
